Tilers on the North Shore who do the waterproofing too
We have been tiling across the Shore since 2016, from full bathroom renovations in Takapuna to commercial floors in Albany and outdoor patios in Birkenhead. We are PS3 registered authors with Auckland Council, so the waterproofing under your tiles is documented, not assumed.
Tiling services across the Shore
From a single splashback to a full commercial fit-out, we handle the tiling and the waterproofing underneath it with the same crew.
- Bathroom tiling - floors, walls, showers, niches and vanity surrounds, with PS3-backed under-tile waterproofing where the job needs it.
- Kitchen tiling - splashbacks, feature walls, kitchen floors and benchtop surrounds in ceramic, porcelain, stone and mosaic.
- Indoor floor and wall tiling - living areas, hallways and laundries in large-format porcelain, natural stone and patterned tiles.
- Under-tile deck and balcony waterproofing - membranes under tiled outdoor areas, with proper drainage falls and slip-resistant finishes.
- Swimming pool tiling - pool interiors, waterlines, coping and surrounds, in tiles built to handle chemicals and temperature swings.
- Underfloor heating - electric systems installed alongside the tiling, one process instead of two trades to coordinate.
- Commercial tiling - retail, hospitality, offices and healthcare, coordinated with builders and project managers on live sites.
We are a registered member of the Tiling Association of New Zealand (TANZ) and we only use adhesives, membranes and grouts we trust: Mapei, Ardex, Bostik, Sika and Technokolla. Every job is backed by our 10-year workmanship warranty.
Older Devonport bungalows to Long Bay new builds
The Shore is not one kind of house. Devonport, Northcote and Birkenhead have older weatherboard homes where the substrate under an existing bathroom often needs checking, levelling or reinforcing before new tiles can go on. Albany, Long Bay and Schnapper Rock are full of new builds, where concrete and timber substrates need proper cure time before tiling starts. We assess each job on what is actually there, not on a one-size approach.
We work as tiling subcontractors for builders and project managers across the Shore too. We carry the certifications builders and councils ask for, including PS3 registration with Auckland Council, and we are used to fitting in with other trades and build programmes.
Suburbs we cover
Before you book
Are you registered PS3 authors for waterproofing on the North Shore?
Yes. We are registered PS3 authors with Auckland Council, which means we can issue the Producer Statements required for building consent sign-off. That matters on new builds, major renovations and any consented wet-area work.
Our place is an older North Shore weatherboard home. Does that change the job?
Usually, yes. Older homes in suburbs like Devonport, Northcote and Birkenhead often have substrates that need repair, levelling or reinforcement before tiling can start, and original bathrooms that were never waterproofed to today's standard. We check what is under the surface first and include any substrate work as its own line in the quote, so there are no surprises mid-job.
How long does a bathroom tiling job take?
A typical bathroom takes 3 to 7 working days depending on the size of the space, tile format, design complexity and whether waterproofing is required. You get a clear timeframe with your quote so you can plan around it.
Do you supply tiles as well as install them?
Either works. We can order through our trade accounts at The Tile Depot, Tile Space and Tile Warehouse, or install tiles you have already chosen.
